Usually occurring on the Sunday following Christmas, the Feast of the Holy Family provides a model for every Christian family. Indeed, Bethlehem provides a rich treasury for the domestic church. The readings for this feast follow a 3 year cycle in which the flight into Egypt (A), the presentation in the temple (B) and the finding of Jesus in the temple (C) are proclaimed. The feast was established in 1921 and in 1969 came to be linked with the Christmas octave.
